At Grundon, we are on the lookout for a dynamic, passionate, and driven Sustainability Advisor to support with the British Airways contract based near Hatton Cross focusing on waste management.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the British Airways contract by working closely with our site based team and client to identify, implement, and monitor initiatives that help achieve sustainability targets across waste management activities
What will you do
- Support the Contract Manager in developing and delivering tailored waste management plans across British Airways sites.
- Build strong relationships with the client to understand sustainability objectives and provide expert guidance on waste management improvements.
- Plan and deliver waste composition analyses to identify opportunities to reduce waste, increase recycling, and improve segregation.
- Work collaboratively with the client and key stakeholders to develop and implement initiatives that improve recycling rates, reduce contamination, minimise waste, and lower carbon emissions.
- Partner with the Innovation Manager to introduce new technologies, circular economy solutions, and innovative practices that deliver environmental and commercial benefits.
- Lead the implementation of stainability waste management projects, monitoring progress, measuring outcomes, and reporting on performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Produce accurate, timely reports that demonstrate the impact and success of new initiatives.
- Deliver engaging training sessions, presentations, waste awareness campaigns, and site tours to educate colleagues, contractors, and service partners on best practice.
- Provide regular feedback to the client through site meetings, sharing performance insights, highlighting non-compliance, and recommending continuous improvements.
- Monitor on-site waste segregation to ensure compliance with legislation and agreed processes, investigating and reporting contamination or non-compliance where required.
- Keep up to date with waste management legislation, sustainability best practice, and emerging Net Zero initiatives to ensure continuous improvement across the contract.

About You
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) in an environmental, sustainability, or related discipline is desirable.
- Ability to obtain a basic DBS certificate and successfully complete a five-year background check.
- At least two years of experience in the waste management and/or sustainability sector.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Numerate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident presenter with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
- Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently and use their own initiative.
- Ability to drive and support improvements to systems and processes within a growing business.
